This resource will be developed to find more targeted sources in terms of the specific topics of interest. At this time, for completion of the EDUC 632 assignment, I am using the list of search sources I developed as part of my other course assignments.

These sites are dedicated primarily to supporting internet-based research in art and architectural design. They are all unrestricted access sites and have some sort of peer review or editorial oversight for managing the data base.
The Getty Research Institute |
Endowed by the mammoth J.Paul Getty Trust, the institute endeavors to "promote innovative scholarship in the arts and humanities, to bridge traditional academic boundaries, and to provide a unique environment for research, critical inquiry, and debate" in a worldwide community. The resources for both art and architecture are significant.

Their self described goal is to "become the definitive and most effective guide to museum-quality fine art on the Internet". They are primarily a search engine tool referencing museum collections, image archives and other online resources. It is limited to only those artists referenced in museum databases, and may not be the tool of choice for researching relatively unknown, fringe or emerging artists. It also references works of architecture that have been featured in museum exhibits.
